After being knocked out by Adriano Moraes in the fight for the ONE Championship flyweight belt, Demetrious Johnson He doesn't seem to be in a rush to become world champion again. The former UFC athlete stated that he was just enjoying his remaining time in MMA and declared that he was thinking about 'one fight at a time'. The statement was given in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

“I’m not in a rush to become world champion again. I'm just enjoying my MMA career with the time I have left. We'll see what happens. I'm just relaxing and seeing what comes my way. I'm here to have fun and relax. I'm sure there are other guys out there who are trying hard and caring about becoming the best in the world, about being world champion. I've done this. Now I'm just enjoying my life and taking it fight by fight”, said 'DJ'.

Former UFC flyweight champion, Demetrious reigned in the organization between 2012 and 2018. During this period, he broke the record for consecutive title defenses in UFC history with 11 consecutive victories. After being dethroned by Henry Cejudo, 'DJ' headed to the One Championship in a trade involving North American Ben Askren.

In the Asian organization, 'DJ' managed three consecutive victories and won the GP in the flyweight category. The tournament title qualified the North American to compete for the belt against the champion Adriano Moraes.
