Currently, boxing has been marked by the presence of brothers Jake and Logan Paul with great superfights. YouTubers decided to venture into the sport and share the opinion of fans and contact sports professionals. Asked about the subject, the former UFC flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), Demetrious Johnson, states that they both train and dedicate themselves to performing in the 'noble art'.

“People think that Jake Paul and Logan Paul just got off the couch after playing video games, but that's not the case. These guys are training like full-time athletes. They train better than some of the professional athletes who have been in the sport for five or ten years,” Johnson said in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

Furthermore, Demetrious also spoke about the difference in pay for digital influencers and MMA fighters. He reveals that he understands athletes and sends a hint to Ultimate, but understands that it is worth building a brand so that he can profit from his own image.

“I support the YouTubers and os TikTokers and the problem is that, at the end of the day, what matters is making money. These guys have a huge following and many of the athletes complain that Jake Paul and Logan Paul are making millions of dollars and we athletes have been in this sport for years and will never see a payday like that. The reality is your brand is what sells, and I learned that when I was in a promotion in North America (UFC) and it's been proven to this day”, concluded the fighter.
