After debut with defeat in the PFL, Klidson Abreu admits error in strategy and promises: 'I will come back stronger'

The Tupiniquim fighter admitted that he executed an out-of-time kick that was decisive for his setback and stated that he will return 100% to the decagon

It wasn't a dream debut for Klidson Abreu at PFL. After being knocked out by Jamelle Jones last Friday (25), the Brazilian fighter admitted that he made a mistake in his game strategy by executing an unplanned movement and promised to come back stronger in his next fight. The statement was given in an interview with 'GE'.

“A lot of people asking me if I’m okay. I'm fine, but unfortunately it wasn't our day. We put together a game strategy but I ended up, on impulse, taking a shot when I shouldn't have and then I fell underneath and the guy ended up knocking me out”, said the 'White Bear'.

Without showing sadness about the setback, the Brazilian fighter promised to train and come back stronger for his next fight.

“It was a day of learning. Let's train more and get back 100%. Yesterday (Friday 25th) was very tense, but we will come back firm and strong for another fight”, concluded Klidson.

Former Brave light heavyweight champion, the Brazilian had a brief stint in Ultimate between 2019 and 2020. For the largest MMA organization in the world, there were four fights, with two losses, one victory and one 'no result' fight. In his PFL debut, the athlete from Minas Gerais was defeated by Jamelle Jones with a knockout in the first round.
