Even without exciting performances in his last two performances, Cyryl Gane believes he has done enough to reach a title shot. Victorious in a sleepy clash against Alexander Volkov, UFC Las Vegas 30, this Saturday (26), the Frenchman says he is ready for the biggest challenge of his career. At the press conference after the show, the athlete spoke about the subject.

“I think I managed to prove myself, I don't think I need another fight before the title fight. I think (Alexander) Volkov was a great challenge to show and I showed it. If the UFC wants to cast me in a title fight, my friend, I'm ready,” said the Frenchman.
After achieving his ninth career victory and maintaining his unbeaten record, Gane said he doesn't mind waiting for the opportunity. Knowing about the imbroglio involving the first defense of the Francis Ngannou, the athlete was calm about any possible delay.
“I think we can wait. It will allow us to evolve in some areas. We can wait”, he concluded.
With the victory over Volkov, Gane defended third place in the ranking led by Ngannou. Now, in front of you, the 'giant' has only Derrick Lewis – favorite to face the champion -, Stipe Miocic and Francis himself.
