Boston hosts UFC FOX Sports 1 premiere

New Ultimate event will have its first edition on August 17th

Now it's official. After some speculation, Ultimate confirmed the creation of UFC FOX Sports 1. The show will be shown on the FOX Sports channel in the United States, a broadcaster that recently arrived in the country. The first event in the series was confirmed for August 17th, in Boston.

Although no fight has yet been announced, UFC president Dana White promised big names for the first edition of the show. “We are going to take a ‘sick’ card”, wrote the leader on his Twitter account.

With the confirmation of yet another event, August will be a busy month for the UFC. In addition to the debut on UFC Fox Sports 1, UFC 163, also called UFC Rio 4, is scheduled for the 3rd, and UFC 164, scheduled for August 31st.
