Heavyweight Christian Morecraft announced this Wednesday (27) his retirement from MMA at the age of 26. The American, who has a professional record of seven wins and three losses, started his career in 2008 and hopes to improve his quality of life with the decision.
“There are many former athletes who are poor, homeless and jobless, so I announce that I am leaving MMA to find an easier way to live and, more importantly, to be happy,” Morecraft said on Facebook.
At 1,98cm tall and 118kg, Christian Morecraft last fought at UFC on FX, in January 2012, when he was knocked out by Pat Barry.
