After being defeated by Georges St Pierre in the fight for the welterweight belt, at UFC 158, Nick Diaz he even announced his retirement from MMA. However, the controversial fighter may choose another path and seek superfights against athletes from other categories. The main targets would be Brazilians Wanderlei Silva e Vitor belfort. At least that's what his coach, Cesar Gracie, revealed in an interview with the podcast The MMA Hour.
“I would prefer someone like Wanderlei Silva. Wanderlei can lose ten fights in a row and they will give him a big fight”, said the coach. "And the Vitor belfort. The level of respect given to these guys who have been fighting for so many years and had so many fights. Nick is not as old as them, but he wants that kind of respect and he wants big fights.”
Despite having declared that he had ended his MMA career, a fact that is no longer unprecedented in his history, Nick Diaz recently demonstrated his desire to face the Brazilian Anderson Silva, in a fight with combined weight.
