One of the protagonists of UFC Las Vegas 30, Alexander Volkov knows the difficulties he may face this Saturday (26), when he faces the promising Cyryl Gane. Faced with an undefeated opponent in MMA, the Russian did not hide his respect for his opponent and believes in a great show at this weekend's event. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the combatant spoke about the clash.

“He's a big one'striker' from France. Even though he doesn't have much experience in the UFC, he conducts his fights competitively and intelligently, like a true top 5 (heavyweight) fighter. He is dangerous, due to his striking technique, variations and way of execution”, said Volkov.
With 22 knockouts in 33 victories as an MMA fighter, Alexander says he wants to test his stand-up fight against Gane. Thus, the Russian proposed a frank striking confrontation, which tends to stir up the spirits of sports enthusiasts.
“I think it will be a fight between strikers in which one of the two will give up and become a wrestler, but I would like to compete with him in striking, because I am one too. I want to find out who has the best kung fu”, he concluded.
Current number five in the ranking led by Francis Ngannou, Volkov is coming off two consecutive victories in Ultimate. Gane, third in the group, still doesn't know what it's like to lose. The Frenchman is going for his sixth fight in the UFC.
