Fighter Gustavo Coelho Franca suffered an impressive injury during his fight against Magno Alexandre, at WOCS 24, held last Saturday (23), in Montes Claros (MG). The athlete from Belo Horizonte fractured his support leg when trying to land a high kick on his opponent. The fight was stopped immediately.
It is not only the severity of the injury that is shocking, but also the way in which it occurred – it was possible to hear the sound of the tibia and fibula fracture, an injury later confirmed by doctors. The commotion of the public and even the opponent also demonstrates the seriousness of what happened.
According to information published on the official WOCS profile on Twitter, Despite the shocking episode, Gustavo is doing well and underwent surgery in Belo Horizonte this Sunday (24). The result of the medical procedure or recovery time has not been released.
