After the defeat to Gleison Tibau by split decision from the judges in PFL 5 last Thursday (17), Rory McDonald he did not hide his displeasure. In an interview after the show, the Canadian stated that he won the fight in a dominant way and called the result a 'clear robbery'.

“I am very disappointed. I believe it and everyone I spoke to booked the fight for me, some even said it was three rounds to zero. I think it was a clear robbery. I believe I was dominant in this fight”, stated the 'red king'.
Disappointed with the judges' judgment, the welterweight fighter spoke about his reaction during the announcement of the results.
“I was absolutely sure I won. I was so surprised when the first judge scored him victory. I was shocked. When I heard the split decision for him, I was even more amazed. I didn’t see the fight the same way they (the judges) did”, concluded the fighter.
Even with the defeat to Tibau, Rory qualified for the semifinals of the welterweight tournament of the 2021 season. The Canadian will face the North American Ray Cooper III, champion of the league in 2019. The fighter has a record of 22 victories, seven setbacks and one draw.
