Brandon Moreno made history in UFC 263 last Saturday (12) by becoming the first Mexican to 'wear' the organization's belt with the victory over Deiveson Figueiredo. After the fight, the new flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg) met with Henry Cejudo and detailed the meeting.

“He helped me a lot. He opened the door to his house and helped me a few mornings to get my training in Arizona five or six years ago. I never had the real opportunity to say thank you. I thought that was the (right) moment to tell him that. He was in character as 'Triple C'. But I knew and saw that he was very happy for me and my performance at that moment”, said Moreno in an interview with the website 'MMA Junkie'.

Despite showing his gratitude for theTriple C', Moreno does not rule out facing him in the future. The champion recognizes that the American is retired and may not return. Still, the Mexican says he is ready to face him if Cejudo decides to resume his career.

“He is another possibility. Never know. Definitely yes. It's a possibility. Obviously, he is retired. He is almost a father and is married to his girlfriend. He has a good life. He was always talking about a possible fight against (Alexander) Volkanovski, Petr yan and still wanted to fight against Deiveson Figueiredo. But I do not know. I'm the champion and I need to fight (against) the guys the UFC asks me to. You never know”, concluded the fighter.

the way of Brandon Moreno Getting to the Ultimate belt wasn't easy. He debuted in the organization in 2016 and had three wins and two losses before the category was abolished. Still, the Mexican has time to go out and 'wear' the LFA title before resuming his career in the most famous octagon in the world. Since then, he has gone on a streak of six fights without losing (four wins and two draws).
