“I've always been a fan of his, since I was a child. I saw him fight Anderson Silva, fight for the UFC belt twice. It was an honor to share the octagon with a guy like that. I can sit here and talk about this, but the feeling I got when I walked into the ring and saw him was, 'Damn, I'm fighting Demian Maia'” said Belal.

Asked about what his next step in the organization would be, the American showed courage and asked for a rematch against Vincent Luque, current number five in the welterweight rankings (up to 77,1kg) and who already defeated him in 2016.

“I wanted Nate diaz had knocked out Leon edwards so that I could have this rematch (with the Jamaican). Obviously, I want someone who makes sense. I want to look up. I'm thinking of someone in the top 10. I would definitely like to face Vincent Luque again,” declared Muhammad.

Current number 12 in the welterweight rankings, Belal is in a great phase in his career. In his last five fights, the American won four and had one 'no result' fight. His last setback was in January 2019 for Geoff neal. The fighter has a record of 19 wins and three defeats.
