Despite the defeat, Dana White says he is impressed with Nate Diaz's performance at UFC 263

In a post-event press conference, the 'big boss' avoided talking about plans for 'Bad Boy's' future in the organization

Nate diaz was one of those praised by Dana White after the UFC 263, held last Saturday (12). In a post-event interview, the Ultimate leader reveals that he was impressed by 'Bad Boy' in the five-round fight against Leon edwards. Furthermore, he also avoided talking about the athlete's next steps in the welterweight division (up to 77kg.).

“He was squirting (blood) everywhere, but he continued doing what the 'Diaz Brothers' do. He worked the entire fight to try to destabilize (Leon edwards) and try to make your opponent make a mistake. So, he almost beat him in the fifth round. He's unbelievable. He’s capable of asking us for a six-round fight next time,” praised Dana.

Diaz is going through a difficult time in Ultimate, as he has only won one victory in his last four fights. Still, the 'Bad Boy' revealed that he wants to return to the Octagon in the coming months. White, however, avoids talking about the American's future in the division.

“I don’t know (what’s next). He's the fans' favorite (fighter) and people love him, regardless of whether he wins, loses or draws. But I don't know (the next steps). We will analyze what comes next”, concluded the Ultimate boss.

Nate diaz, 36 years old, is defeated again after fighting for the 'BMF', in 2019. He has a record of 20 triumphs and 13 setbacks. Already Leon edwards, 29, should fight for the welterweight belt (under 77kg) in his next fight. With the triumph, the 'Rocky' scored his ninth consecutive victory and extended the good phase in his career.
