After four consecutive defenses of the welterweight belt in his homeland, the most recent of which last Saturday (16) against Nick Diaz, the Canadian Georges St Pierre can put his title on the line in another country next time. According to UFC president, Dana White, GSP should fight John hendricks, today the number one challenger, in Las Vegas, in the United States.
“I was talking to Lorenzo Fertitta about bringing him (St. Pierre) back to Las Vegas,” the manager told the website MMA Junkie. “He hasn't left Canada for a long time,” she noted.
The last time that Georges St Pierre He fought in Las Vegas at UFC 100, in 2009, when he defeated Brazilian Thiago Alves. Less than a year later, at UFC 111, GSP had his last fight outside of Canada, also in the USA, but in New Jersey, against Dan Hardy.
