One of the Brazilian representatives at the UFC Las Vegas 28, Antonio Arroyo is going through a difficult time in the organization. Without winning since his debut, the athlete is under pressure to commit to Tom Breese, this Saturday (5). Showing feet on the ground, the Tupiniquim team knows they need a great result to avoid the risk of being dismissed.

“I still have one more fight left on my contract, but a lot of guys got fired after the third loss. I don't want to risk it. I think that if I have an exciting match, I will keep my job and have another opportunity”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

Revealed by 'Contender Series', Arroyo reached Ultimate for five consecutive victories. The athlete stamped his passport to the organization by submitting Stephen Regman, almost two years ago.

Arroyo's debut in Ultimate took place in November 2019. On that occasion, the athlete was selected to exchange battles with Andrew Muniz. The Tupiniquim, however, ended up defeated by points, in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Just over a year later, Antonio returned to the octagon, this time, to face Deron Winn. Again in the judges' decision, the Brazilian was beaten and suffered the second negative result in the organization.

This Saturday, Arroyo will have his 14th fight as a professional in MMA. Today, the fighter has nine positive results and four negative results in the sport.
