Despite not competing professionally in MMA since 2017, St-Pierre has never hidden his pleasure in staying in shape. Outside of competitions, the fighter has publicly said that he never stopped training.

Recently, the former welterweight (up to 77kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9kg) champion was involved in talks about a possible return. According to Ali Abdelaziz, businessman from Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Canadian was willing to return to action for a superfight with the Russian, promoted at catchweight.

Retired since the end of 2020, Khabib showed no interest in the invitation and made it clear that he intends to continue outside of mixed martial arts. The Russian, today, works on preparing new athletes.

The last time Georges was seen in the octagon was at UFC 217. On that occasion, the fighter resumed his career after a four-year hiatus and made history, winning the linear middleweight belt, which, at the time, belonged to Michael Bisping.
