The featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) Alexander Volkanovsky is willing to show MMA fans a new image. “Nobody can say I'm looking for drama or anything like that. That's what I like about TUF, the fact that they get to see a totally different side of me. If you ask me something about my next fight, I will answer. I'm not going to talk nonsense for no reason. That’s not the kind of guy I am,” said Volkanovski.
The leader of the featherweight division stated that he intends to have a friendly relationship with Brian ortega during the recording of the program but things won't go on like that when the camera lights go out.
“Being ‘trapped’ in a house with someone for so long is difficult. We're playing with each other, messing with each other. It's all friendly now, I'll be honest. But I can’t say that we will continue like this afterwards”, concluded Alex.
The new season of The Ultimate Fighter will begin on June 1st in the United States. The reality show will have 16 competitors from bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) and middleweight (up to 83,9kg). The technicians of the new edition will be Alexander Volkanovsky e Brian ortega.
Current leader of the featherweight division, Volkanovski boasts an incredible streak of 19 consecutive victories. Hired by the UFC in 2016, the Australian defeated names like Max Holloway, José Aldo e Chad Mendes. The belt's owner has a record of 22 triumphs and just one setback.
