“I'm ready to get back in the gym, keep working and improving. I will not give up and I will not rest until I become the featherweight champion. I know that my first child is coming in October but this is something that I have to know how to deal with in order to win the belt. That's what it takes to become the champion. Of course, I will be close to my family but not as long as I wanted. I will work hard to be ready for anything”, said Carcacinha.

Hired by Ultimate in 2017, Ricardo has already had eight fights for the organization chaired by Dana White. The Brazilian has so far achieved six wins and two defeats in the company, however, the lack of a longer sequence of triumphs has prevented the Brazilian from reaching the top-15 in the category for now.
