Best moment in career

The triumph over Buys didn't just make Bruno happy because of the financial aspect. In the confrontation against the North American, the Brazilian entered the Octagon under pressure for a positive result. Bulldoguinho's performance, however, caught the attention of the organization, which, in addition to the bonus, renewed the São Paulo native's contract.

“It was the best feeling of my life, so far. My dream was to join the UFC and become champion. I can't have a stint in the UFC and leave. If I didn't win any, I would be frustrated for the rest of my life. I won by knockout, I got the bonus, I signed another contract. So, it was, for sure, one of the best feelings of my life”, said the athlete.

New challenge in a short time

With his last fight taking place on March 20, Bruno will return to the Octagon approximately two months after his triumph over Buys. The Brazilian then spoke about preparing for two clashes in a short space of time.

“I managed to rest. Right after the fight, I took two weeks off, rested my body, regained some weight. In the first week that I returned to training, I was offered this fight. There was no injury, nothing and I confirmed it. I'm fine, no injuries, nothing. I had six weeks to do the training. It was a good time, everything was perfect”, said Bulldoguinho.

This weekend, Bruno will face off against an athlete who is just starting his career in MMA and is looking for his first positive result in the organization. The fighter then analyzed his opponent and became excited about his rival's style. The São Paulo native's expectation is to end the dispute on the fast track.

“He's an aggressive guy, who's been giving a tough hand. He's a fighter. I see this fight as an opportunity for another knockout. I think I'm a level above, in everything. It's a good fight for me. There is no easy fight. One punch, one kick, can change the entire fight. Be conscious, never underestimate my opponent, but, technically, know that I am above. It’s going to happen,” he said.

Another bonus? Accepted!

After winning the first one and taking home more than R$260 thousand extra, Bulldoguinho doesn't want to stop there. If he secures another great performance, the athlete is now looking for another award from the organization.
