Vitor Belfort announces migration to boxing and reveals his desire to face Anderson Silva

Professional in MMA since 1996, the 'Phenomenon' says he will fight in the noble art and wants a rematch against 'Spider'; he also doesn't rule out facing Oscar De La Hoya and Evander Holyfield

MMA legend, Vitor belfort announced that he is making a switch to boxing. When participating in a media day for the 'Floyd Mayweather x Logan Paul' fight, the Brazilian revealed his interest in facing Anderson Silva in noble art. He also didn't rule out having Oscar De La Hoya and Evander Holyfield as his next opponents. The statement was made in a recent interview with 'agfight.com'.

“Anderson would be amazing. Me and Anderson, it would be a great rematch in boxing. (…) It could be Oscar, Anderson, Holyfield. There’s a list of guys who can make this happen,” said Belfort.

In March 2019, the Brazilian came out of retirement to sign with ONE Championship. Still, the 'Phenomenon' didn't even debut and announced that his contract with the organization is close to ending.

“Now, our agreement is about to end. We don’t have any fights there… But this is boxing, I’m free to box”, concluded the fighter.

PUBLICITY:

The 'Phenomenon' debuted in professional MMA in 1996. Since then, he has had 41 fights in his career, with 26 wins, 14 losses and one draw. Vitor hasn't fought since May 2018, when he was defeated by Lyoto Machida. In boxing, however, he still doesn't have any record.
