Edson Barboza is excited after the victory over Shane burgos, UFC 262 last Saturday (15). The Brazilian scored an unusual knockout, won the 'Fight of the Night' award and now considers himself to be at the peak of his career. He also highlights that he feels even stronger and faster in the featherweight category (up to 65,7kg).

“I'm feeling better than ever and getting better every day. When I reached 30, I thought I was finishing my career, but it's the opposite. I feel like I'm healthier today than I have been in years. I train correctly and respect my body's limitations. I feel stronger and faster and I always want to face the best. I really believe I deserve a duel against one of the five best featherweights,” Barboza said in a post-war press conference.UFC 262.
In the fight, the Brazilian invested in low kicks that hurt Burgos, as well as working on his boxing. In one of the punches thrown, the American felt it with some delay and fell about six seconds later. Later, Barboza reported his feeling when he noticed that his opponent had accused him of the coup.
“I didn’t understand the knockout so well. I knew I had connected some good shots and I noticed he was acting strange. So, he fell and I went up to end the fight. I need to see it again, because I don't know what happened. He doesn't remember what happened and neither do I. It was funny”, concluded the fighter.
At 35, Edson Barboza occupies 13th place and should take ninth place, which belongs to Shane burgos. Currently, the Brazilian has a record of 22 wins and nine losses in his career.
