"I feel very happy. I don’t know what happens in Japan, but it makes me feel young”, declared the Curitiba native. “I'm happy to fight in Japan again. I have the best moments of my life here, and today is another one. I feel the energy here, the energy of the Brazilian fans, the Japanese fans. I feel very happy to fight here”, he added.
The former PRIDE middleweight champion even mentioned the end of his career in the interview. But “The Ax Murderer”, as it is known, did not talk about dates, it revealed a wish already fulfilled before hanging up the gloves. “I dreamed of, before retiring, fighting in Brazil and fighting here,” said Silva. “I'm very happy that the UFC gave me the opportunity to fight for the last time in Brazil and here. I hope the UFC gives me the chance to fight here again”, he concluded.
