Wanderlei Silva returns to Japan, this Saturday (3), looking to rediscover the aggressive fighting style that made him famous in the Japanese country at the beginning of the last decade. And depending on the interviews, the “Crazy Dog” promises a great show against Brian Stann in the main fight of UFC on FUEL 8.
“I'm well prepared, ready to do all five rounds if necessary, but this fight won't go beyond the third. We're both strikers (who like to fight on the feet), and I'm going for the knockout. I'm well prepared, we're going to have a great fight”, said Wand, in the last press conference before the duel.
The Brazilian also made no secret of the fact that he hopes to have all the fans present at the Saitama Super Arena behind him. According to him, in addition to the Japanese who have been fans since Pride, Silva hopes to bring joy to Brazilians who live in Japan.
“I think it’s an extra motivation. Brazilians who live here in Japan, we know that they have a difficult life. They work in a factory, 10 or 12 hours a day, they come here to save some money and return to Brazil. It is a pleasure to provide this moment of cheering and cheering for a Brazilian. It is a great honor to represent Brazil in Japan and around the world. I hope to have a great fight and represent all of us well”, he concluded.
