“We sat down and chose this (signing with the PFL) together. We have to think about everything before getting anything right. We made a family decision. At the end of it all, he (Kamaru Usman) told me that it was a great decision to agree with the PFL,” said Mohammed.
With proposals from Bellator and also the UFC, the heavyweight explained the reasons that led him to agree with the PFL and spoke about the criticism he suffered.
“People don’t know that this is like any other profession. You go where they will pay you well. If Puma offers me $10 million, I can't go to Nike just because of the name if they offer me $100.000. At the end of the day everything is a business decision and I'm happy to be here”, concluded the Nigerian.
With a record of 7 wins and one loss, Mohammed Usman seeks to start off on the right foot in the new organization. In PFL 3 which takes place this Thursday (6), the Nigerian will face the North American Brandon Sayles. The duel will be valid for the heavyweight tournament (up to 120,2kg).
