“I was very scared by this pain because I am thinking about the worst scenarios. The worst of them is that the blood doesn't go back to my bone and doesn't circulate, which would mean a possible amputation. This happened to my thumb that I had operated on after the fight with Kelvin Gastelum. I had surgery on a torn ligament and about eight weeks after the surgery, they noticed the blood wasn't coming back. So, they had to remove my entire bone and put a hip bone in there, because the finger bone was deteriorating and dying. If this happened to my tibia or my fibula, I don't know what the consequences would be. Amputation, leg prosthesis, all of this scares me. I'm praying and I'm sure it won't happen, but it's a possibility. I spoke to a doctor about this and he told me that the tibia has the worst healing percentages post-surgery. It's not a high percentage, about five percent, but it's worrying,” said Chris.

“Another problem is that I have numbness in the sole of my foot and in some of my toes. It's tingling like they're half anesthetized, like the nerve isn't working perfectly. This is also a little scary. I've had 24 surgeries and this one was completely different from all the others. I’ve operated on my neck, my hands and every part of my body you could imagine, but this one was much more brutal,” concluded Weidman.
