STRONG IMAGE – Jedrzejczyk shows a deep cut suffered in training: 'Do you want to be a fighter?'

Ultimate strawweight legend (up to 52,1kg.), Joanna Jedrzejczyk recorded a relatively common situation for MMA professionals. The athlete, however, decided to share images of a deep cut suffered during a training session with her fans. On her social networks, the Polish woman joked about the situation.

“So, you want to be a fighter? The good news is that I will be able to train tomorrow morning”, wrote the former champion.

Considered one of the best representatives in the history of the under-52,1kg group, Jedrzejczyk has not performed since the battle against Weili Zhang, in March 2020. At the time, the Polish woman was trying to take the belt from the Chinese woman and both ended up putting on one of the best performances ever seen in women's MMA.

Against Zhang, Joanna was unable to regain the category throne, lost in 2017, when she was surprised by Rose namajunas. Interestingly, recently, the North American regained the category crown – which she had lost in 2019 – by beating Weili in the UFC 261.

Now, Jedrzejczyk will need to prove that she deserves an opportunity to face Namajunas again. If the Polish woman gets the chance, this will be the third commitment between the two and the dispute favors the North American, who won on both occasions.
