The brutal victory of Jiri Prochazka before Dominick reyes is on the lips of MMA fans. Even with one of the most notable knockouts of 2021, however, the Czech doesn't find many reasons to smile. At the press conference after the UFC Las Vegas 25, the light heavyweight (up to 93kg.) pointed out some flaws in his performance and guarantees that he needs to improve some specific points.

“There are better knockouts in my career, because in this one, I didn't control it all the time. Dominick has surprised me many times. For a guy like me, this is not good. I like to be the best at these things. To be the best, it wasn't the best performance, actually”, said the fighter.
Willing to correct the errors highlighted, Jiri states that changes will not happen overnight. Realistic about his evolution, the athlete stated that he will give the necessary attention during the period in which he will be out of action.
“I need to take some time to rest and enjoy the fact that I'm a UFC athlete, in the biggest league, and use the skills from this fight against Dominick in my training. To fix mistakes, it takes time”, he concluded.
Former RIZIN champion, Prochazka needed just two fights in Ultimate to reach the top of the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg). The Czech made his debut with the company in July 2020, when he overcame Volkan oezdemir, also by knockout.
Almost 10 months later, the success against Ryes put Jiri in excellent condition for a future title fight. There was such a good impression in the duel against Dominick that the Czech caught the attention of the current group champion, Jan Blachowicz, who was willing to face the fighter, if he wins Glover Teixeira in his new title defense.
