Most boring fight I've ever seen, Machida has to stop being Echo of Anderson Silva's voice, I don't know who's fighting anymore, whether it's Machida or Anderson Silva, the guy doesn't stop imitating Anderson, he's lost his aggression , the race, to keep making messes, Machida Acorda!! Anderson has his technique, you have yours, do what you know how to do, don't try to do one of Anderson Silva's!!

    • diego said:

Dude, you don't understand anything about UFC, you're just another one of the "fads", Lyoto and Anderson are great friends, Anderson copies these techniques from Lyoto, not the other way around.

    • Pedro said:

Imitating who? Lyoto is right, he fought intelligently, he wasn't threatened once, he won with relative ease. I don't understand how there is a jury that gives DH the victory. This guy should be judged and shown why he gave this rating…

      • simone aquino de souza said:

Lyoto needs to be more complete, not just have a fighting style, otherwise he will be very targeted. He may be one of the few in the category who has a chance with Jon Jones, but if he continues to be predictable like that, then it will be difficult. Jon Jones is a complete fighter, not to mention his physical size. Train Lyoto more in your jiu-jitsu and boxing and take that belt back!

    • jiovanni said:

Fighting is not just aggression! And there is no fighting style of its own because Brazilian jiu-jitsu, as it is called, is at the essence of world MMA. MMA also requires a lot of strategy and intelligence and that was what Lyoto did from the beginning of the fight, neutralizing his opponent and guaranteeing the undisputed victory.
      Congratulations to the Brazilian.

Look Jaime, Henderson is a tough nut to crack, Lyoto always fought that way, with his guard down and dancing, because he came from Karate. He acted correctly there, if it had been an intense exchange perhaps things could have turned sour, he used his head.

    • derek said:

That said...I watched the fight and thought he didn't deserve it...the other fighter Dan Henderson hit more.

    • Klaus said:

If you don't, you mané Jaime.. HENDERSON was never knocked out.. for your information and it wasn't going to be Lyoto who would do that... he fought an intelligent fight.. and came out with a beautiful victory

    • Marcelo said:

Get up there then and do better. I doubt if in a street fight you'll go at the guy like a retard to get hit in the face. Taking punches like Wanderley. I remember in the early days of the UFC when Royce took the crowd to the ground, everyone booed and thought it was boring as hell! Lyoto is no different. Pure strategist…

    • Bruno Souza said:

or otarioo lyoto machita comes from shotokan karate and anderson silva doesn't even know what that is and lyoto machida is much better than anderson silva so shut up if you don't know what you're talking about and don't talk shit you trash

    • joel said:

Dude, you're really cool! Lyoto always fought like this, if you don't know, it's because at least you started following UFC on Globo, otario.

I think the judges saw another fight, but it seems they didn't see that the biggest initiative in the fight was from Dam Handerson. It is what I think.

    • John said:

INITIATIVE is one thing… NOW, whether the guy LANDS the blow or not is another thing. Watch the video and pay attention that while standing, Hendo hits Lyoto's face only 8 times while Lyoto lands 14 punches and 3 more counter-attack elbows, of which the first of these 3 opened Hendo's eyebrow. Hendo landed 8 kicks in the entire fight, while Lyoto landed 17 dry kicks, not to mention the 6 counterattack knees that he landed squarely on Hendo's abdomen. Detail, this was only standing up… on the ground Hendo was unable to strike Lyoto's face, but he undermined his opponent's abdomen. Even so, the side referees didn't give so much force to these blows, but rather the fact that Lyoto was in Hendo's submission. Ultimately, the judges didn't think Hendo's ground and pound work was effective. And even though Hendo managed to dominate the center of the cage so much, for the judges it was not enough to compensate for the difference in blows, although few, that Lyoto managed to apply.

Lyoto, classic fighting style, fights with intelligence, strategy. He will be the guy who beat Jones, and he will bring joy to us Brazilians!!!

Anyone who follows Machida's fights knows that this is his game, always on the counterattack, it's always been like that. Even though the fight was stupid, I couldn't run the risk of getting kicked by Henderson and losing the chance. And Hendo himself held back a lot, so you can't blame Lyoto alone. The Shogun went down with him and took the bran. The important thing is that the Brazilian won and can regain the belt.

  6. davi said:

Lyoto, I'm your fan. When I saw his first fights I was impressed by his versatility inside the octagon, fighting well both on top and on the ground. Now I realize that he is losing his explosiveness in counterattacks, which have always been his strong suit. Work on your explosiveness, you are a finisher and your goal is to finish.

  7. Marcelo said:

Lyoto had to be ashamed of an ugly fight like that and until when will he run away from the rematch with Jones

  8. Marcelo said:

horrible fight 15 minutes without any combat

  9. esau said:

You really shouldn't understand anything about martial arts Jaime, because these movements are not Anderson's but rather his fighting style, a very common movement in karate

  10. Lyoto always fought on the counterattack but Dan didn't give him the opportunity, thanks Lyoto, you're one of the best.

  11. Alcir said:

This is a shame, it was more training and not a fight.
    Both should be disqualified.
Where is the claw? Machida wakes up.

  12. Ney Miller said:

Jaime, if I hadn't seen Lyoto's fights, before the UFC even existed, I would agree with you. I don't believe he's imitating Anderson, he's been fighting like that forever... I just think he should be more aggressive and always look for the knockout, not victory on points, as this is not a karate championship but a sport that people seek blood!!! they want to see blood and knockouts... not a kata performance or victories on points.

  13. Farley said:

lioto with this stupid fighting game he will never beat jon jones

I honestly don't know why Dana White still picks Lyoto to fight. Lyoto spends 90% of his fights running away, walking and running backwards. A boring thing to watch. people stay up all night to watch a boring fight.

    • rafael said:

He may not even have given you a master performance, now you say he just runs away, friend, it just shows that you don't understand anything about Marcias, slapping you in the face all the time and fighting like a kamikaze was never the essence of the martial arts and lyoto Machida is an excellent martial artist who fought and defeated Dan Henderson, for those who understand MMA (I believe this is not your case) you know how dangerous Dan Henderson is.

  16. Leonardo said:

Lyoto really fights much more than that, just what he did at the end of the 3rd round shows what he can do.

Now to say that Lyoto imitates Anderson is bullshit, man Lyoto is a karateka, defense and dodging come from this art, Lyoto is the hardest guy to hit in the UFC, a fact based on research.

Anyway, he used a strategy that I also didn't like watching, but he only got hit in the 3rd round when he was on the ground, he deserved to win, but if he really wants to fight JJ, he's going to have to fight like he fought before...

#Let's go Brazil, towards the belt in all categories 😀

  17. Felipe said:

Bad fight huh!!! It's no wonder that to this day I like Wand, win or lose, it's a show for sure!!

  18. Jeff DNA said:

I didn't understand Lyoto's victory… ran in 1st. round, ran in the 2nd. round, always trying to punch on the counterattack..

ran in 3rd. round.. he was put down.. he didn't do anything to sweep or catch henderson.. with only 40′ left to end the fight he tried to fight..

    In my opinion 3 x 0 Hendo..

and I'm a fan of Lyoto.. but he ran away from the fight all the time..

If you fight Jon Jones again... you'll be in the sack again...

    • tixo said:

      Lyoto's victory:
      – Better takedown defense
      – Better counterattack
      – Always in the middle of the octagon, he was not trapped
      – Harder strikes, greater number of kicks
      – He worked from a distance in his favor and didn’t let Hendo play his game (not even on the ground).

      Hendo actually couldn't do much.
The only disappointment is because we normally have much higher expectations when it comes to Lyoto.
This time it was a little salty.
But I prefer him to take more risks if he's going to face J.Jones.

Gentlemen. Lyoto Machida is a Barbie, trying to be a fighter. Dan Henderson came in with a problem, as this was not his fight profile. The guy hits hard and really hits. Machida hits like a woman, runs like a headless chicken around the Octagon. This guy doesn't deserve to fight for the title... he gets slapped and faints... ridiculous... terrible icon for Brazil...

  20. Francisco said:

Boring fight, you'll get another beating from Jones.

  21. Marciel said:

Congratulations Machina, you have a really good strategy...

  22. junior said:

That's it lyoto! dodge and attack correctly.

  23. jan said:

this ufc boss is a joke, he wants to fight lyota with jon jones, this loyota is a joke, he doesn't fight, he just runs into the ring, if he leaves andenson silva, even if he's in a lower category, he has a better chance of beating jon jones, I doubt lyota will win

  24. Fábio said:

Lyoto's movement is very good, neutralizing Herderson's attacks, which apart from jiu jitsu, only shows aggression, but without technique, great fight, congratulations Lyoto.
MMA is technique, strategy and that takedown in the clinch shows that Karate is up to date and very present.
    Oss.

It was worth the victory + the fight was boring as hell with Lyoto playing on the counterattack, but the patriotism was worth it.

  27. julio cezar mendes dos santos said:

I think that today Lyoto is the only one capable of beating Jon Jones but he will have to be more aggressive, his technique works with other fighters but with Jones he has to be technical and a lot of beating because you can only beat him by knockout or very difficult finishing by points is impossible because jones always hits more. go there lyoto…………..

  28. lion team said:

Lyoto ran the entire fight, almost 10 years younger than Henderson and ran a ridiculous fight for a former champion. Hendersom 1000 Lyoto has already lost to Jones, he's going to erase it again, it shames our art, black belt in jiu-jtsu is also only in karate, Lyoto

  29. João Carlos said:

I thought it was the end of criticizing lyoto. Henderson himself criticized it. He wanted Lyoto to fight like Shogum, not fight, get beaten. I think it's funny that Americans applaud when Wand takes a big hit from start to finish. Americans are masters of these games where they can win using points strategy. It's time for Brazilians to learn from this. Thanks Machida!

  30. Lenno said:

Lyoto's fighting style is the same. He's a karateka! He fights, defensively dodging, he fights on top of the opponent's mistakes until he finds an opportunity to counterattack.
He's not a guy who goes at it like crazy. He waits for the moment! Always on strategy.
And whoever says he doesn't punch, look at his other videos to see how he also knocks out and finishes well. Wow, the guy has already beaten BJ Penn, Stephan Bonnar, Shogun, he's already knocked out Rashad, Tito Ortiz, the thick-skinned veteran from Couture. Only top guys pow! and was the closest he came to defeating champion Jon Jones.

    Give the guy credit!

  31. moulting said:

Lyoto fought very well, I think his style is very good, after all in a fight you must look at the set and this guy dodges blows very well. It's a shame that people who don't understand anything about fighting only see a great fighter in someone who only knows how to exchange, or punch and kick all the time. Lyoto is perfect because he sets up the fight strategy and is just going strong and I'm sure he'll win back Jones' belt. Hugs Lyoto, I'm your fan and you're the best.

  32. ELTHON said:

I THINK IF WE ANALYZE THE FIGHT BY THE RULES LYOTO WOULD LOSE, BECAUSE DH HAD MORE INITIATIVE AND MOST OF THE TIME DOMINATED THE CENTER OF THE OCTOGNO, OTHER THAN HIS FALL AND STAYING ALMOST 2 MINUTES ON TOP, WHILE LYOTO DIDN'T EVEN, TRIED TO TAKE DOWN AND KEPT FLEEING AWAY WITH WEAK AND INEFFICIENT COUNTER ATTACKS

  33. LENIN said:

The worst fight I've ever seen in my life.

  34. Ieder Santos said:

Let's hope a lot for Lyoto because Jon Jones is almost complete or very complete

  35. Ieder Santos said:

Let's hope a lot for Lyoto because Jon Jones is almost complete or else complete

  36. Felipe said:

weak fight, if Lyoto wants to remain among the best in the category that's fine, but if he wants to be the best he's a long way off, with what he demonstrated in this fight he won't take the belt from Jones, who saw his fight against Rampage? With this style of fighting without combativeness he lost and looked like a fool, this almost happened again in this fight. For those who want the belt, they have to show a lot more, it's true that Dan Renderson is a tough guy, but I expected more from Lyoto. We all want him to win the belt!

  37. mirko said:

For me, this fight should have been 5 rounds, if it was going to be the victory for the guy who sought it, but the fight was definitely for Dan Henderson, he controlled the center of the octagon, Lyoto keeps running away, walking backwards, he lacks more courage for lyoto, a champion who is a champion has to have courage, Dana should give the rematch with 5 rounds, there was doubt and no one was satisfied or convinced of this result, the people who are frustrated are the public who are waiting for the fight and it practically doesn't even happen...

  38. Marco Tulio said:

Okay, I liked Liotto's style, but I'm really disappointed, very passive in the fight, this fight Dan Henderson deserved to win was forfeited, Liotto didn't do anything, Dan Henderson was much more combative!

  39. paulynho said:

Hey guys, I also thought the fight was a little warm, with Henderson taking the initiative in the fight, always in the center of the octagon but without any hard blows and without being in any danger. Lyoto fought intelligently, nullifying his opponent's game and landing some blows on the counter attack, when he was knocked down in the 3rd round he tied up the fight and managed to get up. It was an important victory that will take Lyoto to fight for the belt, so yes he will have to show everything he knows to defeat Jones and win the title of champion.

  40. alex dutra said:

LENIN IF LIOTO WERE FOR EXCHANGE I BELIEVE HE WOULD GET BETTER. HOWEVER, HE STUDIED THE FIGHT AND LANDED THE BLOWS AT THE RIGHT TIME, BUT I AGREE THAT IF HE WANTS TO BEAT JHON JONES HE HAS TO BE MORE AGGRESSIVE...
LYOTO HAS ALREADY WON THE BELT ONCE AND WILL WIN IT AGAIN.

  41. bruno said:

Assessing: Lyoto's groundwork is childish, he doesn't have a takedown game, in striking he only plays in a crouched position. He runs around in every fight. The only ones who couldn't run were the shogun, Lyoto ended up (passed out), and with Jon Jones, Lyoto was almost killed (killed).

  42. David said:

In the evolution of UFC, fighters learned that risking receiving a cobra kill and losing the fight is more expensive; MMA is an art, try to watch the same fight over and over again and then you will see that it is not a fight without technique, there were blunt blows from lyoto; for those who enjoy fights, the knockout does not mean that they hear a beautiful fight; I've seen spectacular knockouts suffered by good athletes who lost to other fighters with little or no technique, learn about the fights and then criticize them, no Brazilian fighter leaves anything to be desired in their fights, look for pride fights and even early UFC fights , it was Brazilians who created and named this event and all the others, these guys are living legends and deserve our respect and admiration. look up the history of MMA, you've only known the sport for a little over 2 years, it's richer than a simple knockout; It's like a goal, it doesn't matter if it was scored, the victory always has the same flavor in the end. LEARN ABOUT FIGHTS AND THE EVOLUTION OF THE SPORT IN MMA.

  43. ruben rodrigues said:

Lyoto fought intelligently but I gave Dan the victory without a doubt he tried to fight but Lyoto ran away so Dan couldn't play his game and hit

  44. ruben rodrigues said:

since lyoto won the victory, he spent the entire fight running away and dancing, always attacking because he was afraid of the naucaote, lyoto because that was exactly what was going to happen if he didn't spend the entire fight running away and dancing because in the mouth of many He won well but on television they will see this fight, it certainly wasn't UFC, because UFC is about fighting, not dancing, sorry, but we have to see things as they are, really thick-skinned, thanks for this victory
