“I hope I show my striking skills. I want to show this more. I know the majority of the public likes it, and I love it too. Poliana is also a very aggressive girl, she will want to change, maybe she wants to take me to the ground for losing (by submission in the last fight). The only girl who really fought with me was (Priscila) Pedrita, but she's a truck. Generally, in all my fights, the girls try to take me down by trying to find a gap on the ground, because it's an easier way than exchanging blows. Poliana will, at least in the beginning, try to show what she is good at, which is striking (…). She likes to kick, to exchange blows, but I also like it. And I love kicking (laughs). It’s going to be a scythe fight, and we’re going to see who can last longer”, declared Luana.

The duel against Botelho will mark Dread's return to the octagon after the tough defeat she suffered against her compatriot, Ariane Lipski, in July. On that occasion, the fighter ended up experiencing moments of tension, when her leg was bent in the submission applied by her rival. Luana then explained that she needed to undergo treatment to take care of the injury, but said she was ready to return.

“I was doing a bit of rehabilitation, getting stronger (until the end of last year). That's also why I didn't fight. Before January, I couldn't fight. I had to undergo treatment to be able to come back and strengthen, train well. Being able to train well without feeling pain, feeling confident, without fear of anything, which is how I am today. From January to now, training increased and I started training normally again”, he concluded.
