Usman's show instigates McGregor, who provokes and suggests a super fight against the welterweight champion

The brutal victory of Kamaru Usman before Jorge masvidal No. UFC 261 caught the attention of the legendary Conor McGregor. Keeping an eye on last weekend's spectacle, which saw the return of the public at Ultimate events, the Irishman didn't miss the opportunity to provoke the Nigerian and suggested a super fight for the welterweight belt (up to 77kg) in the future. The 'Notório' used social media to comment on the matter.

“Usman is even copying my moves. Will I face this guy at some point? I think so. You can't copy me and get away with it. I like welterweights. The division will be mine soon”, said McGregor, in the Twitter.

Although he turned his attention to Kamaru for a moment, McGregor is focused on his next commitment in Ultimate. The Irishman has a scheduled clash against Dustin poirier for July 10, in the fight that ends the trilogy between the two, at lightweight (up to 70,3kg.). Former double UFC champion, 'Notório', however, guarantees that he can dedicate himself to welterweight in 2022.

“I'm motivated for the 77kg division, guys. Give me until the end of the year in the lightweight division. I’m going to get the belt and then I’m going to move up (category) again,” he said.

If he beats Poirier in the UFC 264, McGregor must qualify for the title fight in the under-70,3kg category. If he beats the North American, the Irishman can return to fight for the title against the winner between Charles of the Bronx e Michael chandler, who exchange forces on May 15th.

Considered one of the biggest names in the history of MMA, Conor has not performed since January of this year. In the duel that marked his return to the octagon after a year, the Irishman ended up surprised by Dustin himself, who knocked out the company's former linear champion in the second round.
