Ultimate confirms two title fights for UFC 263, with Adesanya and Deiveson defending titles

In the wave of super events, the company creates a new show that promises to excite fans; fights take place on June 12th

After a great event, held last Saturday (24), Ultimate is ready for a new show. The organization officially announced two title fights for the UFC 263, confirmed for June 12th, with no location yet defined. The show will be headlined by the champions Israel adesanya e Deiveson figueiredo in the two main battles. The announcement was made on the organization's social networks.

In the last fight of the night, the middleweight leader (up to 83,9kg.), Israel adesanya, returns to the category after an unsuccessful attempt to win the light heavyweight title (up to 83kg.), in March this season. The Nigerian will try to maintain his throne in the face of Marvin vettori, who defeated Kelvin Holland in early April.

PUBLICITY:

The duel between Adesanya and Marvin will mark a rematch between the combatants. The two exchanged forces in 2018, when the Nigerian still didn't hold the group's belt. At the time, Israel emerged victorious in a split decision by the judges.

In the co-main confrontation, a show with Brazilian protagonism. Champion in flyweight (up to 56,7kg.), Deiveson Figueiredo will make the long-awaited rematch against Brandon Moreno. The athletes once again share the Octagon after a true battle, in December 2020, which ended in a draw and the Pará team retaining the title.

PUBLICITY:

No UFC 256, Figueiredo and Moreno left everything in the octagon and excited those who followed the challenge. Just over six months later, the athletes will try to decide once and for all who will be at the absolute top of the category.

On June 12th, MMA fans will be able to say goodbye to a great icon of the sport. The event could mark the retirement of Demian Maia, to face Belal Muhammad | on the main card.

In recent interviews, Maia, who is coming off a tough defeat against Gilbert Durinho, does not deny that he is close to leaving mixed martial arts. Today, at 43 years old, the São Paulo native occupies eighth place among welterweights (up to 77kg).
