Kamaru Usman highlights his evolution on his feet after another knockout and says he intends to continue his legacy in Ultimate

Nigerian welterweight champion has already knocked out Colby Covington, Gilbert Durinho and Jorge Masvidal

After retaining the welterweight belt (up to 77kg.) by knocking out Jorge masvidal in the rematch valid for UFC 261 this Saturday (24), Kamaru Usman says he is happy with his performance. The athlete, who also took home the 'Performance of the Night', highlights his evolution in standing and states that he can remain at the top for a long time.

“I managed to knock out my last three opponents (Covington, Durinho and Masvidal). So right now I just need to go back and keep training to improve. But the guys in the (welterweight) division need to show me some things, because I'm still the champion and the toughest fighter in the division,” said Usman at a press conference at the UFC 261.

With the victory, the Nigerian managed to defend his welterweight title for the fourth time. Furthermore, he alone leads the longest winning streak (14) in the division and says he plans on maintaining the 'reign' for a long time.

“I feel really good. I am blessed to be here and live in this moment. I just want the good moment to last for a long time and for me to be able to have other fights like today”, concluded the Nigerian.
