The success of UFC events in Sweden could result in the organization returning annually, always in April, to the country. In an interview with the portal MMAViking, Ultimate's president, Dana White, confirmed the possibility that the event's trip to Scandinavia in the fourth month of the year will become a recurring practice.
On April 14th last year, Stockholm hosted the first edition of the biggest MMA event on the planet on Swedish soil. UFC on Fuel TV 2 saw the victory of Alexander Gustafson, home athlete, about the Brazilian Thiago Silva as the main fight. The second edition of Ultimate in Sweden takes place on April 8th and will once again feature Swedish Gustafsson in the main fight of the night. This time, he will face the Armenian Gegard Mousasi.
In both events, the almost 15 thousand tickets on sale were sold out within a few hours. The home of UFC editions in Sweden has been Ericsson Globe Arena, in the capital Stockholm.
