“There is no fight that makes sense to me, other than a title fight. It's the opportunity I want and I'm going to win. I'm going to go home, take care of my injuries, because it was a tough fight (against Gastelum)”, said the fighter.

Middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.) between 2017 and 2019, Robert already has a prediction about when he would like to share the octagon with Adesanya. Defeated by the Nigerian in UFC 243, the Australian remains focused on regaining the group's throne.

“I think we could do it in September”, he concluded.

The triumph over Kelvin confirmed the great phase of the former middleweight champion. With the result, Robert reached his third positive result in a row. Whittaker's last defeat happened precisely in the meeting with Adesanya, which cost him the category belt.
