The past is past to Phil Davis. With a chance to win Vadim nemkov No. Bellator 257 this Friday (16), the North American says he is not thinking about taking revenge for the defeat he suffered in November 2018 in a split decision by the judges and about advancing to the semi-finals of the Grand Prix light heavyweight (up to 93kg) and win the Bellator belt.

“I don’t mind this rematch atmosphere. For me, looking back is a waste of time and energy. I will never improve my game by doing this. My goal is to improve and win fights. So why calculate this? I am fine. Judges have a difficult job. If they said I didn't win, I didn't win,” Davis said in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.
In the first fight between the fighters, held at Bellator 209, there was a balance in 25 minutes, which ended with the Russian as the winner in a split decision. Now, Davis claims that he learned some lessons from the first fight and reveals the importance of being aggressive in his duels.
“I look at that fight and I think I have to start acting even earlier in five-round fights. I have to explore from an early age. I can't just want to be accurate all the time. Sometimes you just need to be a little energetic and go all the way,” added the fighter.
At 36, Phil Davis are trying to regain the division title and aim to extend their streak of three consecutive victories. In his career, there are 22 triumphs, five setbacks and one unsuccessful fight. On the other hand, Vadim nemkov is considered one of the biggest names in the organization and has a record of 12 positive results and two negative results.
