Paying attention to movements, the welterweight Stephen Thompson states that he does not agree with the exhibitions and does not want to watch the fight between Ben Askren and Jake Paul, which takes place this Saturday (17), at 'Thriller Fight Club'.

“I refuse to watch combat. It's going backwards and it's kind of embarrassing. YouTube people are looking for entertainment – and everyone watches for that reason. However, as an athlete, this shouldn't make sense. It doesn't make sense to me”, reveals Thompson in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.
Before migrating to MMA, the 'Wonderboy' came to compete – and be champion – in tournaments kickboxing. In fact, the North American won the 20 fights he competed in. Now, he says it 'doesn't make sense' to leave martial arts to do a superfight, like Ben Askren. But he confesses that he would like to 'slap' brothers Jake and Logan Paul.
“As an athlete, I don’t think it makes sense. But as entertainment, as a fan of the game. These guys are moving. The Paul brothers are making moves. So hats off to these guys, but I just want to slap them. I hope Ben Askren goes there – I know it's boxing – but he catches Jake and beats him up, looks at him and says: 'This is real fighting'”, added the American.
In a streak of two straight victories, Stephen Thompson occupies fifth place and is scheduled to face the Brazilian Gilbert Durinho No. UFC 264, July 10th. At 38 years old, he has a record of 16 triumphs, four setbacks and one draw.

Embarrassment because? Just because his scholarship doesn't exceed 200 k?
Bunch of boring little fighters…. ancient mind. This is good for the sport.
Thompson finds it embarrassing to have a fighter against a YouTuber… but currently, he is also a YouTuber… where is the coherence?
