“When I retired from fighting, I said I never wanted to fight again. Now, it's like I need a reason to train anyway. I had my hip surgery and I was very heavy, so boxing came about as if I started working out,” said Askren in an interview with 'BJPenn.com'.

Inactive since 2019, when he hung up his gloves, Ben said he feels relieved to have motivation. Furthermore, the veteran considers the experience fun and does not rule out having more exhibition fights in the sport.

“It’s been fun for me. In boxing, I'm learning something new that's fun. I'm not going to do three boxing fights a year or anything, but if I call fighters of the same level or another youtuber, I can try two or three more fights”, concluded the North American.

At 36 years old, Ben Askren gained worldwide notoriety when he became Bellator and ONE Championship champion in the welterweight category (up to 77kg). The athlete had a short stint in Ultimate, but without success. For the UFC, there were three commitments and only one positive result.

One of the biggest digital influencers today, Jake, 24 years old, is a true internet phenomenon. Currently, the star has more than 20 million subscribers on his channel and has gained fame in the fighting world for challenging professional fighters. In November 2020, Paul ran over former NBA player Nate Robinson in the show starring Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.
