After more than a year of conversations, the debut of Wanderlei Silva No. Bare Knuckle F.C. may be close to being confirmed. President of the organization, David Feldman spoke optimistically about counting on the MMA veteran in 'bare boxing' and, without setting a date, confirmed that the Brazilian should fight in the near future. The statement was made in an interview with 'MMA fighting'.

"(Wanderlei Silva) will fight. He is training very hard. This conversation will take place tomorrow and we will give him a list of three different opponents. It will be something incredible, which we will announce soon”, said the 'boss'.
At 44 years old, Silva has not performed since the defeat he suffered against Quinton jackson, in September 2018. On that occasion, the Brazilian ended up being knocked out by one of his biggest rivals in MMA.
Having been out of action for more than two years, the Curitiba native began flirting with BKFC in 2019. A self-confessed fan of Wand, Feldman never hid his admiration for the 'Crazy Dog', who frightened the world of mixed martial arts in the 2000s.
In one of the most violent forms of martial arts today, 'bare-knuckle boxing' will not be new to Silva's career. In the 90s, the Brazilian stood out in MMA, participating in the now-defunct IVC. At the event, the athletes also exchanged blows without even using bandages, which frequently provided strong images.
Willing to resume his career, Wanderlei, in 2020, even negotiated a historic rematch against his compatriot Vitor belfort, for those who lost in a flash in 1998. With difficulties in reaching an agreement between the parties, the confrontation, until now, has not gotten off the ground.
