The Ultimate organization announced this Saturday (9) a package of fights for UFC Sweden 2 – also known as UFC on Fuel TV 9. Among the three fights announced is the debut of Ryan Couture, son of the UFC member Hall of Fame Randy Couture, in the organization. Ryan will face Englishman Ross Pearson, in a fight valid for the lightweight category.
Ryan Couture has seven fights as a professional, all of them for the now-defunct Strikeforce. The heir to “The Natural” has six wins and just one defeat on his record. His opponent, Pearson, has been in the UFC since 2009 and has had nine fights for the organization, winning six of them and losing another three. Furthermore, the Englishman was the winner of the 9th season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter.
The other two clashes announced for fight night in Stockholm are: Matt Mitrione x Phil De Fries and Ben Alloway x Ryan LaFlare. The first fight, valid for the heavyweight category, is a meeting of fighters looking to recover, as both were defeated in their last appearances in the Octagon. In the second clash, valid in the welterweight division, Ben Alloway is looking for his seventh consecutive victory against the debutant, and undefeated, Ryan LaFlare.
