The new UFC ranking is already generating controversy. After fighting for the middleweight belt against Anderson Silva and be prepared to face Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title, Chael Sonnen was left out of the classification in both categories. Without mincing his tongue, the fighter spared no criticism of the journalists who voted in the election.

“I never understood the fascination of putting a number next to someone's name. I did this during my time in college with the girls I dated and I can guarantee it never ended well. Firstly, when people judge other people it is never fair. You have a lot of media guys who really don't know anything about the sport, that's the reality,” said Chael during the UFC Tonight program.
