Without winning a fight for over four years, Thomas almeida needs to get back on the winning path. At the UFC 260, which takes place next Saturday (27), the Brazilian will face Sean O'Malley in a duel valid for bantamweight (up to 61,2kg). “You will see a more aggressive Thominhas. In the last fight, I lacked confidence. This is part of the process, I am changed, everyone noticed it in my daily training. I will try to go forward, be precise and very aggressive, this is the athlete you will see on Saturday. I want to fight as much as I can this year to get my rhythm back”, declared the Brazilian, in an interview with 'Combate'.

Pressured to win again, the bantamweight tried to see the positive side of the current situation. Thominhas believes that a triumph over O'Malley could be the beginning of a new moment in his career.

“Honestly, at the stage I'm at, I need to bring a victory, show who Thomas is again, impose my rhythm, release the game, stay calm and let it flow. A win over O'Malley, who is well-known, is much better, so at this point, I need a win. There will always be pressure, I want to win. I want to go there, win, show my evolution. That's my goal”, concluded the 'Chute Boxe' athlete.

With a professional record of 22 wins and four losses, Thominhas is looking for redemption in the octagon. Coming from a sequence of three consecutive defeats, the Brazilian is going through his worst phase in the organization. His last victory was over Albert Morales in November 2016.

Considered a bet by Ultimate for the future of the division led by aljamain sterling, O'Malley is looking to recover from the tough defeat suffered last season, which marked the first negative result of his career. At 26 years old, the North American currently has 12 victories in 13 commitments as a professional in MMA.
