A big surprise last weekend was the knockout suffered by Leo Santos, UFC Las Vegas 22. What some may have missed is that the outcome was the result of an 'order' given by one of the technicians Grant dawson, fellow fighter James Krause. In images released by 'BT Sport UFC'(see below), it is possible to hear the coach insisting that his pupil not leave the fight in the hands of the judges.

“Look at me, I don’t know how the score is, you know? You can't knock him down, you need a knockout. He's not throwing anything to hurt you. (…) Add punches, make combinations for me. We need to end the fighting. I don't know if it's one to one, two to zero for him or two to zero for you. (…) Don’t leave it to the judges. You have five minutes. I want you to 'rip his head off',” Krause said.
Interestingly, the confrontation, which went to the last round, was defined in the final seconds. To the excitement of the team, especially James, Dawson surprised the Brazilian in the final seconds of the confrontation, when Léo, on the bottom, ended up succumbing to a sequence of punches applied by Grant.
The outcome ended up earning the North American a bonus of US$50 (around R$275) for his performance. With the result, Santos, who had not lost a duel since 2009, suffered his first negative result with the Ultimate gloves.
Considered a promise for the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg.), Dawson maintained his 100% success rate in the organization. To date, the American is undefeated in five fights as a representative of the company.
