After winning Israel adesanya for the UFC light heavyweight title (up to 93kg), Jan Blachowicz consider a rematch in the future. In an interview with 'MMA fighting', the Pole revealed that a second fight could take place, if the Nigerian proves himself against another fighter who belongs to the division's ranking before getting a chance at the belt again.

“I think if he (Adesanya) returned to our category or continued in this division, of course the rematch could be in the future. But before that, he needs to beat someone in the top-10 first. He has everything to be at the top of the division,” said Blachowicz.
The Pole, who became champion by knocking out Dominick reyes No. UFC 253, revealed that the victory against Israel adesanya had 'a different flavor', as it was a fight between champions and took away the Nigerian's unbeaten record.
“I feel even better than when I won Dominick reyes, because now I have proven that I am a true champion. I just didn't win the belt, like I defended. It tastes better. I have a lot of respect for Adesanya, but it's good that I took away his undefeated record. I'm very happy and I proved that I deserve this title”, added the fighter.
At 38, Jan Blachowicz is in the best phase of his career. With victories over names like Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo Jacare, Dominick reyes e Israel adesanya, he is one of the best highlights in Ultimate today.
