Boxing champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury sign contract for two superfights, says website

Two of the best heavyweight representatives in the 'noble art' reach an agreement and accept a duel, which does not yet have a confirmed date

Boxing fans already have reason to cheer. The two best heavyweight representatives in the 'noble art' today, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury they agreed on terms and signed a contract for two superfights. Owners of belts in the category, the Englishmen will put their titles on the line in a show that does not yet have a confirmed date and location. The information was released by 'ESPN'.

For boxing lovers, the meeting between Tyson and Joshua represents much more than a duel between two great competitors. The dispute between the fighters will put no less than five world titles in the ring.

While Anthony holds the WBA (World Boxing Association), WBO (World Boxing Organization), IBF (International Boxing Federation) and IBO (International Boxing Organization) belts, Tyson will arrive for the confrontation with the WBC (Confederation World Boxing Championship). The last one, achieved in a superfight against the dangerous Deontay Wilder, who had never lost in his career.

At the top of the 'noble art', a fight between the English has always been welcomed by promoters. The million-dollar figures, however, ended up delaying the confirmation process.

PUBLICITY:

Fury, 32, has not performed since February 2020, when he won the WBC title by beating Wilder. Like his rival, Joshua, 31, has not stepped into the ring for over a year. His last engagement was in December 2019, when he retook the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts in a rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr.
