The welterweights (up to 77kg.) Kamaru Usman e Gilbert Durinho seem to have left the rivalry just in the UFC 258, held in Las Vegas, in February. Despite leaving the fight defeated, the Brazilian welcomed the Nigerian to the gym 'Sanford MMA' in a friendly way.

“Last week, on March XNUMXnd, we had a special visit here at 'Sanford MMA': the champion Kamaru Usman, former teammate and my last opponent. He came here because a friend of ours is fighting in Abu Dhabi. He is very close to Kamaru, who will be in the corner”, stated Durinho in his 'Twitter'.
Gilbert also stated that, despite facing Usman, there was no stronger attack that left any marks. In fact, he says he hopes for a possible rematch in the future.
“He came to the gym, he was good. Respect is still alive. We shook each other's hands and exchanged a few words. We are all fine now, but I still believe that we will see each other again soon, in the Octagon”, added the Brazilian.
Currently, both fighters have no fights scheduled. The champion, Kamaru Usman, negotiates a fight against his long-time rival, Jorge masvidal. Already Gilbert Durinho can face Colby covington, Michael chiesa e Stephen Thompson looking for a recovery in Ultimate.
