O Jungle Fight scheduled its return to Rio de Janeiro in 2013. The 49th edition of the show will take place in the capital of Rio de Janeiro on February 22nd, with no location yet defined. In the main fight of the night, American Sean “Cubby” Peters and Lucio Curado from Tocantins compete for the show’s lightweight belt.
In addition to the title fight, the Bahian and submission specialist, Alexandre Capitão will return to the Jungle Arena against the Brazilian, Talison Soares Costa, in another standout fight. Talison is on a five-game winning streak and will make his debut with the organization. Another player who has achieved five consecutive victories, Tiago Trator from Amapá, will go head to head with Fábio Queiroz.
The president of the Jungle Fight, Wallid Ismail, promises a high-level event ''It will be quite a spectacle. We will have a title fight between the two main powers of the sport, Brazil and the United States, which promises to give something to talk about. Also, it's great to see the main card of Jungle Fight importing fighters who were discovered in Jungle Comunidade and knowing that, because of this, they will be able to provide better conditions for their families,” said the businessman.
