“It all depends on my performance. I need a good performance on Saturday to get a chance at the title”, said Marreta.

After 16 months away from the octagon, he returned in November 2019 when he was defeated by Glover Teixeira by completion. The 37-year-old athlete stated that he was not in his best shape and that he is now 100% and ready to perform better.

“When I look at my last fight, I was ready, but I felt that after a long time off, I was out of rhythm. Now I feel really good. I feel 100%, and my last fight was the warm-up. I'm going to do much better than my last fight”, said the light heavyweight.
