After being fired from the UFC, Luis Beição finds his way back to winning ways at the WFC

With a card full of big names on the national scene, Web Fight Combat (WFC) held, this Sunday (27), the first edition of the event at Barra Music, a well-known music venue located in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The highlight of the night was former UFC fighter, Luis Beição. The athlete from the Nova União team, who had his first fight after leaving Ultimate, defeated Silmar Sombra by unanimous decision from the judges.

The duel between Beição and Sombra began with controversy. Luis tried to touch gloves at the beginning of the dispute, but Silmar refused and went on the attack. However, the Nova União athlete dodged well and soon took the contest to the ground.

Beição was close to ending the fight with a kata-gatame in the first round, but Sombra defended himself well. Beição's dominance in the ground fight continued in the following rounds and he took the win with a unanimous decision from the judges.

Zeilton Nenzão beats Eduardo Kiko and wins belt

In a fight valid for the bantamweight belt (up to 61,7 kg), Zeiton Nenzão got the better of Eduardo Kiko. Despite the balanced duel, Zeiton used his hands better, while Kiko tried to respond with takedowns and work on the ground. At the end of 15 minutes of a very balanced fight full of alternations in control, Zeiton Nenzão took the win with a unanimous decision from the judges.
