The city of São Paulo received a great gift on its 459th anniversary. O Jungle Fight 48 arrived in the capital of São Paulo, this Friday (25), and did not disappoint the public present at Ginásio da Portuguesa. With six MMA fights on the fight program, none of them reached the judges' decision. In the main attraction of the night, Ivan Batman showed why he is considered the best lightweight active in Brazil and submitted Lindeclercio “Brutos” Batista with a rear naked choke in the first round.
A submission specialist, Batman started the duel with a blistering pace and soon took Brutos to the ground. At home in the ground fight, his training partner Thiago tavares, UFC athlete, evolved in positions until he secured the rear naked choke and ended the fight. With the result, Ivan scores his fifth consecutive victory and awaits the winner of Lúcio Curado and Sean Cubby to challenge for the Jungle belt.
In the second most important fight of the night, the underdog appeared. The Bahian Júnior Alpha avoided the ground game against the experienced Jorge Michelan, imposed his striking and won by technical knockout in the second round.
