During a press conference to promote the 17th season of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, went against everything he had been saying regarding the fight for the category belt against Chael Sonnen. Jones, who was previously harshly critical of the fact that Sonnen had the chance to fight for the title, surprised by now being sympathetic to the idea of having the loudmouth as an opponent.
“I'm going to change my answer to this question, and for the first time, I'm going to say yes. I think that Chael Sonnen He deserves to fight for my belt because he asked for it, and even begged for it. He made things happen. I beat practically all my opponents at light heavyweight. Jon Jones e Chael Sonnen, the coaches of TUF 17, will face each other, in a fight valid for the light heavyweight belt, at UFC 159. The fight night will take place on April 27th in Newark, New Jersey (USA).
